Providing Gospel Access
Among Unreached People Groups
The Global Reality
4 in 10 People Lack Access To The Gospel 1
- Over 3.6 billion people live in Unreached People Groups ¹
- Many communities have no local church, no known believers, and no lasting Gospel witness among them²
- 1 in 5 people are still waiting for Scripture in a language they can understand.³
- Fewer than 3% of the global missionary force serves among the unreached.⁴
Being unreached does not mean unwilling. It means no one has yet brought lasting access to the gospel.
¹ Based on Joshua Project data showing that 43.6% of the world’s population—approximately 3.62 billion people—lives in unreached people groups. Joshua Project, “Progress Level: Unreached (All) People Groups.”

Why Access
Gospel Access Excels When A Local Church Is Planted
Spiritual need is everywhere — but access to the Gospel is not. That is why Crossover Global focuses on multiplying church planters to plant multiplying churches among unreached people groups. When a church takes root in a community, everything changes. There is now someone near them, like them, who can share Jesus, disciple new believers, and carry the mission forward.
- Legitimate Presence The Gospel becomes accessible within the language, culture, and daily rhythms of a community.
- Local Witness Local believers can disciple others and carry the mission forward from within their own people, creating roots that hold.
- Lasting Impact Healthy churches don't just survive. They mature, multiply, and become new points of Gospel access for others.
Gospel Access In Action
These aren't just statistics — they represent real communities where the Gospel is breaking through, disciples are being formed, and local churches are rising up where there was no lasting witness before.
